Paddleboards and paddleboats are priced at the kayak rate. Life jackets included with every rental. Reservations are recommended. Confirm your rental time and total with the marina before paying.

Rentals are by appointment only for the rest of the season. Call (860) 365-5311 to arrange a time. A full day is the full 11am to 5pm window.

Waivers and paperwork

Everyone going out on the water signs a waiver, and whoever is renting also signs the rental agreement. There are two ways to handle it.

  • Parties of 9 or fewer — sign everything right here. Fill out the form below and each person signs before you submit.
  • Parties of 10 or more — submit the form to book your date, then complete the paperwork with us at the marina.

Prefer paper, or want to arrive ready to go? Print either document and bring it filled in — it makes for a much quicker check-in.

Rental details

Rentals are by appointment only for the rest of the season. Pick your preferred time and we will confirm it. All equipment must be back by 5pm.

Renter information

Rental agreement

This is the rental contract between Ace Marine East, LLC and the person reserving the equipment. Enter your initials in each section to confirm you have read and agree to it. The injury waiver that every person in your party must sign is further down this page.

1. Equipment acceptance and responsibility

I acknowledge that:

  • I have inspected all equipment and accept it "as is"
  • Equipment is in good working condition
  • I am responsible for proper use and care
  • I will report defects immediately
  • I am financially responsible for damage, loss or theft

2. Return, damage and late fees

I agree to:

  • Return all equipment in the same condition (normal wear excepted)
  • Pay for any damage, loss or theft
  • Pay late fees (charged after a 15 minute grace period)

3. Governing law, venue and jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.

Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in Middlesex County, Connecticut, and I consent to that jurisdiction.

4. Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, all remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

5. Entire agreement

This is the complete and entire agreement and supersedes any prior statements or agreements.

Participant injury waiver

Every person going out on the water must sign this waiver, including you. Each participant must have their own completed waiver; one signature cannot be used for the entire group.

Assumption of risk

I understand that kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding and related water activities involve inherent and significant risks, including but not limited to:

  • Drowning
  • Capsizing
  • Collision with objects or other people, boats
  • Changing water and weather conditions
  • Equipment malfunction
  • Serious bodily injury or death

I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks, known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable.

Release of liability, including negligence

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Ace Marine East, LLC, including its owners, members, officers, employees, agents and affiliates ("Released Parties"), from any and all liability, including:

  • Personal injury or death
  • Property damage or loss
  • Equipment failure

This release specifically includes claims arising from the negligence of the Released Parties.

Indemnification and hold harmless

I agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, damages, losses or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • My participation
  • My use of equipment
  • Any injury or damage caused by me or my party

Safety requirements

I agree that:

  • I will wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved PFD at all times
  • All participants will comply
  • I will operate equipment safely and follow all instructions

Medical authorization

I certify that I am physically capable of participating.

I authorize Ace Marine East, LLC to obtain emergency medical care if necessary and agree to be responsible for all associated costs.

Photo and media release

I grant permission for Ace Marine East, LLC to use photographs or videos for marketing or promotional purposes without compensation.

Minor participants (if applicable)

I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor(s) listed below and:

  • Consent to participation
  • Agree to all terms on their behalf
  • Release and indemnify the Released Parties from any claims brought by or on behalf of the minor
